How do I issue a refund to a patron?

Except for in exceptional circumstances, Patreon will never issue a refund to a patron on your behalf.

If you'd like to issue a refund to one of your patrons, you can do so at any time you have an existing Patreon balance. Here's how:

Step 1 - Click Patron Manager from the drop-down:

Step 2 - Click into the month or post you need to refund the patron for:

Step 3 - Once there, check the box on the left-hand side of the patrons name and then click the refund button on the top of the page. 

Step 4 - You'll see a pop-up confirmation.Click refund. 

Please note that refunds are not reversible. 

The page will reload and you'll see their status updated from Processed to Refunded. The patron will receive an email confirmation and the refund will hit their bank within 2-7 business days.
